A couple of years ago, I was communicating with a very beautiful and talented model on Model Mayhem named MKBlondie (Manda Kay), who expressed her love of Marilyn Monroe and my Marilyn artwork. I sent her prints of both of my Marilyn Monroe illustrations, for which she was very grateful.
A couple of months ago I found out that Manda was named the July Penthouse Pet of the Month! I was very happy and proud of her, as being named a Penthouse Pet is a big deal.
I asked Manda for some promotional shots, and as luck would have it, she
said she was doing a Marilyn-themed shoot. She happily posed as
Marilyn Monroe holding my art, and, of course, her Penthouse centerfold. Pretty cool.
Since Penthouse publishes double issues, you can still get Manda's pictorial on newsstands right now, or order a subscription through my company. It's worth seeing, as Manda is very beautiful and sexy. Click through the links to see her and my artwork that she enjoys.

Own This Chelsea Pinup Art
As you know, I debuted a new pinup art of the beautiful Sophie Rose, host of the Chelsea Fan Channel, that will be sold at auction through the Chicago Blues, our local supporters group for English Premier League's Chelsea Football Club. You can find the details here.
This is art is a mixed media piece, 18" x 24." While it is framed for demonstration purposes, any buyer is welcome to purchase the art only. I would normally charge between $600-$700 unframed for a commission, and $1000 with matte and frame. Bidding starts at only $200, & I will personally sign the art for the winner. Comments are very welcome.

Brand New Color Pinup Art-Sophie Rose
This is my latest color pinup art of the beautiful
Sophie Rose, one of the biggest supporters of the English Premier League's Chelsea Football Club, and co host of the Chelsea Fan Channel.
This art was created as a fundraiser for our Chicago chapter of Chelsea supporters in the USA, called Chelsea in America. It will be sold to the highest bidder in an international auction.

The art was based upon a photo from a shoot Sophie did a couple of
years ago, and she gave us the okay to use it for reference. It's a
combination of colored pencil, acrylic paint and white conte crayon.
I'm really really enjoying working in color; and my comfort level is
increasing.
My thanks to my friend Ralph Haseltine for shooting and editing the art for me.

Cowgirl Pinup- A Transition
Several years ago, I was commissioned to do an illustration by the new owner of the license of the Mustang Ranch
brothel in Nevada. He wanted to create a line of merchandise to sell
that would depict a stylized version of the Old West, circa 1940's or
1950's. As a test, I first created a black & white drawing, with a
more modernized look:
Once approved, the next phase was a 1950's 'retro' look to the cowgirl, that I subtly modeled after Marty McFly's outfit in Back to the Future III, using colored pencil:
This was a fun project, as I needed to manipulate the reference photo of Playmate Jennifer Allen quite a bit--I used her basic pose (which I flipped for effect), but add and subtract elements.
Comments are always welcome. Please share by clicking below. Thanks.

This is....Misty Dawn
Misty Dawn is a former Playboy CyberGirl, whose excellent photos by Sam T’ang were published in August 2004 (Sam’s photos are the reference for her art).
Click here to see a full size image of her art and a new lower price on the original.
Misty was born and raised in Michigan. After some years of modeling there, she moved to the Dallas area in the summer of 2005. She has since gotten married and is the mother to a very photogenic little boy. She agreed to a little Q & A:
How did you get your start in modeling?
By chance. I went with a friend to have boudoir pictures taken for her boyfriend. That photog asked if I was a model, or ever considered it. He ended up taking a lot of photos of ME that day. I looked up known local photog's and Sam's name was #1 so for the hell of it I emailed him some of those pictures. He did a test shoot of me that week and the following month I was on a poster for a local radio station.
How were you discovered by Playboy?
When Sam was at the mansion the following week he showed Hef all of the recent models he'd shot and Hef wanted me out there the following week.
How long did you continue modeling afterwards?
I modeled on and off for about 6 years. I started late in the game so by the last year of glamour modeling I was in my late 20's and decided to do fitness modeling. Now that's some hard work!
What are your thoughts on Playboy discontinuing nudity in the magazine?
I think Playboy should stick with what's been working for them for the last 50+ years.
What kinds of things are you doing today?
Nowadays I'm a mom to a 6 year old boy (signed with an agency, of course!) ha
I'm hoping to escape Dallas in the next few years and move to Colorado.
Would you consider going back to modeling?
Again, I go on and off with my fitness and toy with the idea of just one more shoot.

Sexy Nicole Art
Below is my latest drawing, a portrait of my friend (and fellow pinup artist), Nicole Brune.
Before turning to art full-time, Nicole was a successful swimsuit model
in California. I've been wanting to do art of Nicole for years, and
finally she has become a part of my Lunchtime Pinup series.
The reference photo below was taken by her now-husband. As you can see, Nicole has gorgeous curves and a fabulous smile.
See Nicole's art here. Please contact me here with comments or commission or print requests. Thank you.

Playboy's Heather Bauer Redux
Here's another piece of art that I recently updated, of Playboy CyberGirl and Special Editions model Heather Bauer.

I originally did this drawing in 2008, at Heather's request, based on an anonymous photographers photos. The shots were different than her Special Editions and Cyber Girl pictorials in Playboy, as they were artsy, boudoir and more sensual, with lots of shadows. When I originally did the art, I focused more on her figure, her mood, but did not shade anything i the background, like I usually do.
I concentrated mostly on shading the corners to close in the drawing, and darkening some spots on Heather's body. I also softened the shading around her butt; it was too liney, so I shaded it more, with softer edges, so it would be more sensual. I also reworked her left eye.
These are the after and before shots, of course. The reworked drawing will be reshot professionally very soon, and uploaded on my site and available for sale in prints, pillows and licensing then. What do you think? Contact me here with any comments or questions

Beautiful Wives Here
I do ALL sorts of commissions for both husbands who want sexy art of their wives, and wives who want to give their spouses a very special gift! I find this kind of work very rewarding, as this is an intimate, special gift for a couple.
Below is an example of a private commission from several years ago, a gift from a wife to her very lucky husband. She sent me the photo reference, and I took about 4 weeks to draw the image. We didn't make many changes at all, as I had a wonderful photo reference from which to work. From what I'm told, her husband is very happy with the art.
I take the trust and discretion needed between client and artist very seriously. You don't have to be a model, nor do you have to be nude, to be the subject of a beautiful boudoir drawing. Contact me at Fine Art America with any comments or questions.
